duPont/Krieghoff is pleased to announce the addition of James Young to its sales staff. James, no relation to former employees Pam and Mike Young, brings tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm to the company.
A true Floridian, James grew up in Miami, later moved to the central Florida, then on to Tallahassee where he graduated from Florida State University. James is married with two small children and lives in Vero Beach.
For the last 10 years, he has excelled in sales positions throughout the east coast of Florida. He is a NRA certified Range Officer, NRA certified Pistol Instructor, Life NRA member, and member of the Port Malabar, Florida Gun Club. He is an accomplished marksman, with a passion for all things that go boom.

KRIEGHOFF's POSITION ON STEEL SHOT
Krieghoff recommends that steel shot not be fired through tightly choked barrels, such as a full choked or improved modified choked barrel. Modified choke should be the tightest choke used with steel shot.
Steel shot may create excessive wear to the ramp area of a tightly choked barrel and therefore may damage and ruin the barrel. Note that a more open choke with steel shot does not result in any loss of ballistic efficiency since steel shot patterns tighter than lead shot, and modified choke gives the optimal long range performance with steel shot.
Krieghoff competition shotguns with factory choke tubes can be used with steel shot as long as the choke constriction does not exceed modified. Fixed choked barrels with chokes tighter than modified should ideally be equipped with steel shot suitable choke tubes rather than attempting to have the chokes opened. There are firms in the after market offering choke tube installations. One such firm that specializes in the installation of steel shot suitable choke tubes is Briley in Houston, Texas. They have many years of competent experience and are highly recommended by Krieghoff.

Youth Purchase Program Lets Teens Buy Their Own
K80 or Kolar Shotguns

| The Youth Shotgun Purchase Program, started in 2003, extends special financing terms to Registered Youth Shooters when they purchase a new or pre-owned Krieghoff or Kolar shotgun from du PONT/KRIEGHOFF. We've made it easier for youth shooters to get into a fine shotgun by reducing the down payment to just 10%, extending the payments to 5 years, and lowering the finance rate. This will makemonthly payments more affordable for teens with understandably smaller budgets. The finance contract is written in the name of the registered youth shooter, and co-signed by a parent or guardian. So while shooting a new Krieghoff or Kolar, the teen can begin to establish his/her own credit. |
Plus, the purchase makes them eligible for our Upgrade Program, which we have extended an additional year.
That means when upgrading to a higher grade Krieghoff in three years from the purchase date, you get 80% of the original purchase price when trading-in the Krieghoff. As the teen continues to grow in clay target shooting sports, duPONT/KRIEGHOFF will grow with them and accommodate their changingshooting needs. For Instance, if they outgrow or require longer barrels, we will happily do what it takes to keep the teen on top of the game. In most cases, the fee is minimal.
